Prologue

First of all, apologies. Apologies to the people who have decided that they like what I've produced enough to subscribe to my gallery. Apologies for not producing anything new for around 16 months (excluding my Influence Map, which, in my opinion, doesn't really count as artwork). Apologies for not thanking or replying to the people who have subscribed to and commented on my gallery, but each and every one is appreciated I can assure you.

Justification

The truth is, I have not had the time or motivation to continue working. This is due to a number of things. In my professional life, I had been extremely busy writing my doctoral thesis (automotive engineering, if you're interested). I found I could no longer dedicate myself to what I had been doing before to the degree that I needed to in order to produce anything acceptable to show people. In my personal life, a number of changes and events have occurred which have taken my focus somewhat and again, I have found that I can no longer concentrate long enough on a piece of work. My working conditions themselves have changed since I last made anything; I moved into a new apartment last September and it just isn't conducive to comfortable working.

Works in progress

My erstwhile co-conspirator ~MajesticSyntax, around 18 months ago, helped me to realise a concept that I had in my mind for some time, but could not translate onto paper. I have been sporadically working on this whenever I find a half hour of inspiration before I put it to one side again. But rest assured, ~MajesticSyntax in particular, that this hasn't been forgotten about and will be ready eventually. There are other pieces I have made tentative starts on, but are still very rough.

Epilogue

I haven't forgotten about this place, and I (admittedly infrequently) still check for the latest deviations and comments. There will be something new from me, maybe it will be sooner, maybe later. But it will arrive.
